As part of the school´s project “Listen to your heart”, 1st grade students in Primary have worked on the story “Sid, the seed”. We learned many things about plants: what they need for living, their parts, different types of them…
It has been very funny working in our vegetable garden, planting and taking care of our plants. Special thanks go to one of our grandpas, Fernando, for his priceless help.
We were also happy to receive our parents one afternoon in the classroom. They helped us complete three very interesting experiments. We put into practise the scientific method by working with flowers, seeds and leaves formulating hypothesis and checking results.
To finish the project we filmed a video singing and dancing a song called “The needs of a plant”.
We had such fun!

Dentro del proyecto escolar “Listen to your heart”, los alumnos de primero de Primaria hemos trabajado con la historia de “Sid the seed”. Hemos aprendido un montón de cosas sobre las plantas: qué necesitan para vivir, qué partes tienen, qué tipos hay…
Ha sido muy divertido trabajar en el huerto, plantando y cuidando de nuestras plantas. Desde aquí queremos dar las gracias a uno de nuestros abuelos, Fernando, por su gran ayuda.
También tuvimos la suerte de compartir una tarde en clase con nuestros padres, que nos ayudaron a trabajar en tres experimentos muy interesantes. Pusimos en práctica el método científico trabajando con flores, semillas y hojas, formulando hipótesis y comprobando los resultados.
Para terminar el proyecto grabamos un vídeo cantando y bailando la canción “The needs of a plant”.
¡Nos lo hemos pasado genial!
